Chronology of cameras Bencini

Remaining faithful to its manufacturing approach that favors the use of cast aluminum, Bencini introduced a new evolution of the Koroll in the early 1960s, the Koroll II. The appearance is much more modern than that of the earlier models.

Like the Koroll 24S, the Koroll II allows for vertically oriented photos in the size of 30 x 45 mm on 120 film. This explains the somewhat distinctive viewfinder. Once again, the bulge housing the viewfinder is oversized and adorned with a mock light meter window.

On this variant, likely one of the oldest, the lens is an 8/55 mm. The available shutter speeds are 1/50 and 1/100, plus the Bulb mode. The aperture choices are f/8 and f/16.

There are later variations with a shutter limited to 1/125 and with plastic around the lens and viewfinder window. Some minor differences are noticeable inside, such as the plate supporting the lens, which is smooth, while on later versions, it is embossed with 45-degree angles.
